Get the most out of your BMW ENET adapter from day one.
If your phone cannot find the adapter's WiFi network, ensure the adapter is firmly seated in the OBD port and the ignition is in Position 2 (accessories on, engine off). The default SSID format is BMW-ENET-XXXX. The password is printed on the adapter label.
For iOS users, set the WiFi network to "Static" with IP 192.168.0.XXX (where XXX is between 10-250), subnet 255.255.255.0, and router 192.168.0.1. Android users can typically use DHCP.
In the Bootmod3 app, select "ENET" as the connection type. Ensure no VPN is active on your phone, as this can interfere with local network routing to the adapter.
MHD requires the adapter to be connected before launching the app. If you see "Adapter not found," force-close MHD, disconnect and reconnect the adapter, wait 10 seconds, then reopen the app.
